The Winnebago County Board of Health is a nine member board, appointed by the County Executive, with County Board and citizen representation. The Board assesses public health needs and advocates for the provision of reasonable and necessary public health services. The board develops policies and provides leadership that fosters local involvement and commitment, which emphasizes public health needs and advocates for equitable distribution of public health resources and complementary private activities commensurate with public health needs.
