In an effort to keep our staff and community healthy during the COVID-19 outbreak, public access to many county buildings is currently limited to appointment only. The public is encouraged to call ahead for hours, appointments and accessibility to services. Department Directories are posted at county building entrances and can also be accessed here.

Mortgage Assistance for Winnebago County

Homeowners in Winnebago County who were impacted financially by COVID-19 may qualify for assistance to pay their mortgage. Applicants must demonstrate that they were current on their home loan as of March 1, 2020 and due to the pandemic, they have fallen behind. To qualify, they must live fulltime in the home within Winnebago County, and be the person responsible for the mortgage. Applications will be accepted between September 1 – October 15, 2020.
