Winnebago County Sheriff's Office
Overview
Winnebago County covers nearly 440 square miles of land and 140 square miles of water. This unique geography requires the Sheriff's Office to provide specialized enforcement for many types of recreational activities.
Many of these efforts are partially reimbursed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
Winnebago County ATV/UTV Routes
Read Ordinance Section 7.16 of the General Code of Winnebago County which allow for ATV/UTV operation on certain county roads.
Important Notes:
- Local municipalities may allow ATV/UTV use on local and county roads.
- Local ordinances may vary between towns.
- Wisconsin DNR regulations always apply.
