2024 Conservation Poster Contest Winners

Conservation Poster Contest Winners (1/3/2024)

52 local youth participated in this year's Conservation Poster Contest sponsored by The Winnebago County Land & Water Conservation Department. Students compete at county and area competitions with the winning posters moving on to compete at the State Competition in March at the WI Land+Water’s Annual Conference. The first-place posters from the state competition will represent Wisconsin at the National Association of Conservation Districts' (NACD) annual meeting. These contests are held annually to promote the mission of conservation across the country and to help pass on Wisconsin's rich conservation history to future generations locally.

The 2024 NACD Poster Contest theme is "May the Forest Be With You Always" and is open to kindergarten through 12th-grade students. Posters must be the original artwork of the student and are evaluated on the following criteria: conservation message (must include annual theme), visual effectiveness, originality, universal appeal, and Individual artwork.
