Purple Angel: Dementia Friendly Business Training

The Purple Angel program is a free training for businesses or organizations on how to be dementia friendly. A growing number of businesses, organizations, and public institutions are training their employees to offer hospitality and support to those with memory loss, cognitive decline, or other symptoms associated with dementia. These establishments now display the Purple Angel decal shown in the window. People with dementia and their care partners are welcome and supported at these locations. Please thank the establishments for displaying the Purple Angel. Encourage any agencies you know to become a Purple Angel-trained establishment. Over the years, many local businesses and organizations have become a part of this valuable program. Organizations as diverse as restaurants, banks and credit unions, realtors, school districts, construction and design companies, and churches. If you are interested in this training for your business or organization,  contact the Dementia Care Specialist at the ADRC at 1-877-886-2372.
