The Planning and Zoning Department works with both the Planning and Zoning Committee and the Board of Adjustment.
The Planning and Zoning Committee is a five-member committee appointed by the Winnebago County Board of County Supurvisors to review and make recommendations to the County Board on planning and land use issues as authorized by the Wisconsin Statutes. The Committee makes recommendations or decisions regarding code amendments, conditional use requests, rural accessory determinations, and similar requests.

The Board of Adjustment is a body appointed under authority of 59.694, Wis. Stats. to hear and decide administrative appeals, variances, and other matters.
