The Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) is available to those who enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces:

 

Post 9/11 GI Bill

If you have at least 90 days of agrregate active duty service after Sept. 10, 2001, and are still on active duty, or if you are an honorable discharged Veteran or were discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days, you may be eligible for this VA-administered program.

 

Wisconsin GI Bill

100% Tuition waiver for Veterans and 100% waiver for dependents of Veterans who have at least a 30% service-connected disability.

 

Job Retrainin Grant

Recently unemployed or underemployed veterans may receive up to $3,000 per year, for a maximum of two years, if they have a financial need while being retrained for employment.

 

Troops to Teachers

This program provides information, referral and financial assistance to eligible individuals who are interested in gaining certification and employment as teachers.

 

Vet Ed Reimbursement Grant

This program provides a reimbursement grant based on a credit-bank system that is based on lenth of active duty military service to eligible Veterans who have noy yet been awarded a bachelor's degree for the reimbursement of tuition and fees following successful course completion at an eligible UW, technical college or approved private institution of higher learning.

 

Dependents' Educational Assistance Program (DEA)

The Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA) Program offers education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of Veterans who are permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition or of Veterans who died while on active duty or as a result of a service-related condition.
