You are invited to the 1st 9/11 Day of National Service

"We will never forget 2,983 Souls Lost"

20 years

The 1st annual "9/11 Flag of Honor Across America Memorial" will be held on September 11, 2021 in partnership with Global Youth Justice, Inc.  Winnebago County Teen Court (1 of 25) was chosen to host this event that will honor 50 lost souls from the 9/11 attack in conjunction with 25 other peer driven programs and communities across the United States. All 2,983 lost lives will be honored. This day is meant to bring youth and community members together to remember those lost, as well as highlight youth justice programs.

Please join us at the front stairs of the Oshkosh Court House to participate in "9/11 Day of National Service and Remembrance". It is critical teens learn more about this horrific and tragic day in America which happened before they were born. It is the most fatal terrorist attack on American soil. We, as a community, will honor, remember and read 50 of the 2,983 names of those who lost their lives that day.

The Official 9/11 Flag will be displayed.  Each Flag of Honor has been individually placed on the 9/11 Memorial in New York City and photographed with Winnebago County Teen Court's registered number.  We need at least 50 volunteers to assist in reading the names out loud on this day (see contact information below).   In closing, we will ask for a moment of silence.

When: September 11, 2021 8:46:40 am. Flight 11 crashes into the north face of the North Tower, World Trade Center, NYC. (Please arrive 15+ minutes early)
