Breastfeeding Support Through WIC - A Mom like you

Picture of Rachael

Hello! My name is Rachael. I am the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for the Winnebago County WIC program. I meet with all WIC moms during pregnancy and after delivery. I am here to promote and provide breastfeeding support.

I have nursed two babies and enjoyed my unique breastfeeding journeys so much, I want to help other moms succeed with breastfeeding too. Being a mom has allowed me to experience a bond that is not comparable to any other.

While breastfeeding is normal and natural, there may be some challenges along the way—this is where WIC played an Important part in my own family. The support of the WIC staff, my family, and my community, gave me the encouragement and education to reach my breastfeeding goals. My new goal is to help other moms succeed in breastfeeding their babies too.

Please feel free to reach out anytime. I am here to support you.
