Do you pick-up?
Unfortunately, no we do not do any pick-ups. Please contact your trash hauler for that service.
What are the Landfill hours?
The Landfill is open Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Where is the Landfill located? How do I get there?
The Landfill is located at 100 W County Road Y, Oshkosh.
From the North: Take Highway 41 S towards Oshkosh. Take the very first Oshkosh exit (Jackson Street exit). When you get off of the highway turn left and head into town. The very first intersection you come to will be County Road Y. Take a right on Y, and the Landfill scale entrance will be the second driveway on the right hand side. Proceed to the soda machine and enter the scale office.
From the South: Take Highway 41 N towards Neenah. Take the last Oshkosh exit (Jackson Street exit). When you get off of the highway, veer to the right and head into town. The very first intersection you come to will be County Road Y. Take a right on Y, and the Landfill scale entrance will be the second driveway on the right hand side. Proceed to the soda machine and enter the scale office.
Do I have to pay to use the Landfill?
Most items do have a fee associated with them. The Current Landfill Fees Sheet is located on the main landfill page.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, the Landfill will accept MasterCard and Visa along with cash and checks.
Do you have someone to help unload?
Unfortunately, we do not have anyone available to help you unload items from your vehicle and/or trailer.
Do I have to be a resident of Winnebago County to use the Landfill?
We do not generally ask for proof of residency. However, out of county tires are not accepted, so those with large loads of tires may be asked for identification or proof of residency.
Do I have cover my load?
Yes. Every load in an open-top truck or trailer must be tarped per Winnebago County ordinance. Even loads such as an appliance or electronic must be tarped. Loads cannot cross the scale without a tarp and you will be charged for a tarp if you do not have one.
