The Medical Team consists of full- and part-time child, adolescent, adult psychiatrists and an advance practice nurse prescriber who work in collaboration with the staff of all the other Behavioral Health treatment teams to provide psychiatric medical services to their consumers.

Medication Prescription and Monitoring - MH
If an initial psychiatric evaluation determines the appropriateness of medications as a treatment modaility for a given consumer, the evaluating psychiatrist or APNP will prescribe the needed medications and then meet periodically with the consumer to monitor treatment response and to make any needed adjustments or changes to the medication regimen.
Psychiatric Evaluation - MH
Upon referral from any other Behavioral Health treatment team, staff psychiatrists perform diagnostic evaluations for the purpose of initiating adjunctive medication prescription services for the referred consumer. Psychiatric evaluations are also sometimes performed for the purpose of determining a consumer's need for involuntary treatment or protective services.
