EXPO CENTER TOPICS:
Equipment and/or Facility changes:
A. New electrical panels for event camper hook ups
1. usage of Grandstand islands grass only
2. Early campers must use primitive campground
a. Set up, event and take down dates will be posted at covered arena for individual horse shows, days must be covered by insurance certificate from show.
3. Identification numbering/lettering system for outlets
B. Expo Bldg. HVAC
C. Switching of Expo stalls to Barns A+ and B
D. ADA for access & programming requirement in contracts for 2012 and going forward
E. Items brought up throughout the 2011 season.
i. Garbage and restroom cleaning after regular hours – done once in the morning, pay for extra staff to clean up if wanted done at another time.
ii. Cleaning up after dogs – if this isn’t done dogs will not be allowed
iii. Blocking fire lanes – between barns and in lots
iv. Blocking fire extinguishers and emergency exits with stalls – fire code violation
v. PA system update – new speakers, Barn E
vi. Bleacher replacement – done in 2012 for ADA compliance
vii. Addition of base for arenas – is any needed, funding
viii. Light programming – overnight arena lights and outside lot lights, notification in advance
ix. Barn E usage – how often in 2012
x. Shared parking – multiple events, fire lanes
xi. Animal waste hauling – new contractor bids
xii. Damage to stalls – possibility of more stalls in 2013, walk throughs, documentation
xiii. Promoter obligation to inform participants of Expo policies
The purpose of this meeting is to inform all user groups of new developments at the Sunnyview Expo Center, gather user input, and facilitate discussion on sponsorships, facility usage, and user needs.
